Sarah Ann Stephens Wiesinger April 23, 1923 April 4, 2013 Sarah Ann Stephens Wiesinger, 89, of Fairfax, Va., formerly of State College, passed away in Fairfax, Va. on Thursday, April 4, 2013. Sarah Wiesinger was the daughter of Emily Agnes Neidigh and Willis Willard Stephens. She was born on April 23, 1923, in State College. Sarah Wiesinger was an employee of Penn State University during and post-World War II. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Wiesinger, formerly of Altoona, a Penn State University Alumnus ('50), also a decorated veteran of World War II. Mr. Wiesinger retired serving 35 years as a Foreign Service Diplomat for the United States, State and Labor Departments, Washington D.C. The couple lived and served their country in Germany, France, Africa, and Japan with home base being Fairfax, Va. The couple helped to form and found the first Catholic Church St. Leo's, in the City of Fairfax, Va. On April 23, 2013, at 1 p.m. a graveside service and celebration of her life will be held at Fairfax Memorial Park, Fairfax, Va. In lieu of flowers, she requested donations to Salvation Army. Mrs. Wiesinger is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Wiesinger Martin, of Chantilly, Va. and Rose Emily Ziegler, of State College; a son, Stephen Edward Wiesinger, of Fairfax, Va.; a grandson, Dustin B. Martin, of Capon Bridge, W. Va.; a granddaughter, Nicole A. Martin, of Sterling, Va.; a great-grand- daughter, Madeline Ann; and two step-children, Donald E. Wiesinger and Sylvia Wiesinger Murphy; and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
