Karen D. McCloskey Moore January 10, 1964 July 2, 2014 Karen D. McCloskey Moore, 50, of Port Matilda, formerly of Snow Shoe, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Born on January 10, 1964, in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Velda M. Swancer McCloskey of Snow Shoe. On August 26, 1989, in Port Matilda, she married Gary P. Moore who survives at home. Karen was a 1981 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and 1981 graduate of Centre County Vo-Tech, earning a certificate of Cosmetology. After graduation, she earned a certificate as a Dental Assistant. Currently, Karen was working as a waitress at Denny's Restaurant in State College. Karen was of the Catholic faith. Karen lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, and riding motorcycles. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother. She was very proud of her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Karen is survived by her husband, parents, children; Rebecca M. Moore of Port Matilda, Heath W. Meek and his wife, Brianne, of Sandy Ridge, Andrew P. Moore and his fianc Britney Henry of Punxsutawney, and Lacey V. Moore of Port Matilda, and her grandchildren; Brady, Alie, Aiden, Waylon, and Weston. She was excited about the arrival of another grandson later this month. Also surviving Karen are her sisters, Pamela A. Rogus and her husband, James, of Franklin, Carla J. Sankey and her husband, Mark, of Mechanicsville, VA, and Jenifer J. Wiseman and her husband, Scott, of Warriors Mark, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 6, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8pm with a rosary at 7:45pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 11am at the Queen of Archangel Roman Catholic Parish Church in Clarence with Father Mark Reid officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or to a .
