Trueman E. Rockey November 24, 1932 July 26, 2014 Trueman E. Rockey, 81, of Bellefonte, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Centre Crest. A son of the late Henry and Kathryn (Foore) Rockey, he was born on November 24, 1932, in Patton Township. On July 24, 1953, at the Filmore Methodist Church, he married Charlotte Fay McKinley, who survives at home. They just celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Trueman was a 1951 graduate of State College Area High School and was the owner/operator of Trueman E. Rockey Construction. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Filmore Methodist Church. Trueman was past president of Bellefonte Little League Baseball and coached for many years. Along with his wife he is survived by four children; Gary Rockey and his wife Susan of Bellefonte, Sherry Rockey and her husband Benjamin Knotts of Silver Springs, MD, Steve Rockey of Bellefonte, Thomas Rockey and his wife Karen of Dresher, PA, one sister, Phyllis Neff of Bellefonte, along with six grandchildren; Tyler Rockey of Phoenixville, Brittany Rockey of State College, Arwen Sunday and her husband Zachary of Crestview FL, Gray Rockey of Bellefonte, Lila Schaffer of Dresher and Gavin Schaffer Rockey also of Dresher. In addition to his parents, Trueman was preceded in death by three sisters; Hazel Watson, Audrey Miller, and Beverly Seaward, along with four brothers; Cecil Rockey, Carl Rockey, Kermit Rockey, and Ronald Rockey. A public visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014, from 6-8 PM, at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte, PA. The funeral service will be Friday, August 1, 2014, at 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Meyer Cemetery, Benner Township. Online condolences may be made to the family at
