Jerry E. Wance October 22, 1952 June 12, 2013 Jerry E. Wance, 60, of Aarons-burg, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at his home after a hard fought battle with cancer. Jerry, a son of the late Kenneth E. Wance and Emma C. Bame Wance of Aaronsburg, was born on Oct. 22, 1952, in Bellefonte. Jerry was a 1970 graduate of Penns Valley High School. He proudly and honorably served his country during the Vietnam Conflict as a Sgt in the U.S. Marine Corp. After Jerry left the military he worked as a security guard at various places. He enjoyed hunting, being outdoors photographing wildlife and spending time at his cabin. He especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Jerry was a longtime member of the American Legion, Keystone Post # 444 in Millheim where he participated in the honor guard military services for veterans. Jerry is survived by his longtime companion and mother of his children, Barbara J. Ronk; three daughters, Jennifer A Ronk, Jessica L. Ronk and Carly G. Ronk; two sons, Christopher L. Ronk and Corby A. Ronk; and two grandchildren, Hailey A. Bierly and Joshua L. Sunday. Also surviving are siblings Lynn Wance, Dora Moyer, Donna Bilger and Donald Wance. In addition to his father, Jerry was preceded in death by one brother, Larry. Family and friends are invited to an informal memorial service to be held at the American Legion, Keystone Post #444 in Millheim on Monday, June 17, 2013, at 7 p.m. In accordance with family wishes, Jerry will be laid to rest in the Reformed Cemetery in Aaronsburg at a later date.
