Mary E. Aikey January 21, 1928 October 14, 2013 Mary E. Aikey of East Lansing, MI, died Monday October 14, 2013. Born on January 21, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert S. and Ida (Gingher) Aikey of Bellefonte. She was a 1945 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She was a Women's Hall of Fame Honoree, Executive Director of the YWCA, State Chair for Michigan International Women's Year, former Professor of Great Lakes Bible College, a volunteer for Michigan AARP and President of her Condo Association. Mary is survived by her two sisters; Tracie (Tom) Garman of Wayne, NJ, Marjorie Rackoski-Spear of Bellefonte, nieces; Gloria (Frank) Gamble, Marjorie (Donald) Barrett, Gail Eminhizer, Tracie (Pete) Caletto, nephews; Tom (Mary) Garman, David (Beth) Rackoski, James Rackoski, Jack (Heidi) Rackoski. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her twin sister, Margaret Eminhizer. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday November 9, 2013, at the Estes-Leadly Greater Lansing Chapel.
