Gregory Rees

Gregory M. (Greg) Rees March 5, 1955 November 4, 2016 Gregory M. "Greg" Rees, 61, of Snow Shoe, was surrounded by his family as he passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016, at his home. Born on March 5, 1955, in Bellefonte, he was the son of Marion M. Rees of Snow Shoe and the late Max L. Rees. On May 1, 1976, in Clarence, he married Diana J. Chambers who survives at home. Greg was a 1973 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He was a member of the Queen of Archangels Roman Catholic Parish Church in Clarence. Greg worked alongside his dad to establish the Rees Exit 22 Truck Stop. He was an integral part of the family, the business, and so many people's lives. Greg was a hard worker. He would start work early in the morning and work all day, sometimes all night. He enjoyed his job and seeing his parent's business thrive. He looked forward to family gatherings and being with his huge circle of friends. He truly loved and valued his family and friends. None of the these compared to being with his granddaughter, Isabella. He enjoyed going to Jon's truck pulls and attending antique truck shows. Greg loved to be outdoors, working around the house, and especially mowing the lawn. Greg had a serious side but never past up a chance to tell a joke or a funny story. He will be missed by all that knew him. Greg is survived by his mother, wife, two sons; Nicholas A. "Nick" Rees and is wife, Kelly, of Philipsburg and Jonathan G. "Jon" Rees and his companion, Sharon, of Snow Shoe, and one daughter, Brittany L. Rees of West Chester, PA. Also surviving are his four brothers; Gary and his wife, Diana, of Snow Shoe, Samuel and his wife, Doreen, of Snow Shoe, Timothy and his wife, Paula, of Snow Shoe, and Ray and his fianc‚, Cynthia, of Karthaus, and one granddaughter, Isabella Love Rees. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Max L. Rees, who passed away on September 4, 2009. In accordance with Greg's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11am at the Queen of Archangels Roman Catholic Parish Chapel in Snow Shoe with Father Michael Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Snow Shoe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Centre Crossing Hospice, 2437 Commercial Blvd., Suite 6, State College, PA 16801. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St., Snow Shoe.
