Baker, Herman H.  
Herman H. Baker RAVENEL, SC - Herman H. Baker, 73, of Ravenel, husband of Dorothy "Dot" W. Baker, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at MUSC, Charleston. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 6 to 8 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11 o'clock at First Baptist Church of Ravenel, 5987 Hwy. 165, Ravenel. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Ravenel. Mr. Baker was born July 12, 1941 in Charleston, son of the late Henry T. Baker and Annie Garrett Baker. He attended St. Paul's High School and graduated from Murray Vocational School. Mr. Baker retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard as a machinist and was owner of Trico Security Company. He was a Mason with Mariner Lodge #2 and former mayor of Ravenel. Survivors, including his wife Dot are: one daughter and one son: Angela Brazelton (Steve) of Ravenel and Tim Baker (Melissa) of Greenwood, SC, 3 grandchildren: Olivia Brazelton of Ravenel and Wade & Gracie Baker of Greenwood, SC, two brothers and three sisters: Frank Baker of Lexington, SC, Wayne Baker (Jenny) of Oakatee, SC, Jenell Yates of Summerville, Bonnie Caddin (Paul) of Summerville, Betty Hogan (Keith) of Summerville and several nieces and nephews. Barge, Richard DeLozier "Rick"  
Richard DeLozier "Rick" Barge GOOSE CREEK - Richard DeLozier "Rick" Barge, 54, of Goose Creek, SC, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at his residence. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, June 30, 2015 from 6-8 PM at Parks Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Rick was born May 4, 1961 in Waynesville, NC, a son of John T. Barge and Ferdie DeLozier Barge, Rick played center for the Summerville Greenwave and graduated from Summerville High School in 1979. He attended USC but was an avid Clemson fan. Rick dedicated most of his life saving other lives in the EMS field. He worked the streets for Dorchester County EMS, Charleston County, Berkeley County and Roper Life Link. He was often known as "Barge," and was an amazing man with a heart of gold. Survivors include his parents, John T. Barge and Ferdie D. Barge of Goose Creek; his wife, Arlene V. Barge of Georgetown, SC; two daughters, Tawny Vesprill of Oakland, CA and Catherine Stark of Ladson; one sister, Kimberly Barge Diaz of Belen, NM; three grandchildren; and many dear friends. Barineau, Virginia Gail Cribb  
Virginia Gail Cribb Barineau TALLAHASSEE, FL - Virginia Gail Cribb Barineau passed away on June 27, 2015, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida after a brief illness. Born in Marion, SC. to Robert Earl Cribb, Sr., of Aynor, SC. and Dorothy Louise McCracken of Galivants Ferry, SC. on June 5th, 1947. She spent her childhood working their family tobacco farm alongside her 3 eldest brothers, and her adult life as a devoted wife of 33 years, raising 3 children and enjoying 9 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Ronald Melvin Cribb, a son, Robert Brian Barineau, a daughter, Tonya Renee Jones and a grandson, Cameron Isaac Jones. She is survived by her loving husband, Ocellar W. "Barney", youngest daughter, Kimberly Bliss (Michael), step-son, Jeffrey Barineau (Cathi) and step-daughter, Rhonda Taylor of Tallahassee, FL, brothers, Robert Earl Cribb, Jr., Stonie Boyd Cribb (Peggy) and William Driggers (Amanda) of Charleston, SC, sisters-in-law, Ruth Glardon (Walt) of Jacksonville, FL, Doris Clark and Lea Phelps of Tallahassee, grandchildren, Joshua and Alexander Jones, Gabriel and Ava Bartkoski, Colt Bliss, Hannah Davis, Justin Barineau, Heather Taylor and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday at HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, FL. Baxley, Francis Miles "Frank"  
Francis "Frank" Miles Baxley HANAHAN - Francis "Frank" Miles Baxley, 80, of Hanahan passed away peacefully per his wishes with his loving family by his side on June 22, 2015. He was born on August 13, 1934 in Bamberg, SC to Miles B. and Helen K. Baxley. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Jean Neal Baxley of the home; children, Ricky Baxley of Goose Creek, Debra Stephens (Don) of North Charleston, and Cindy Baxley of Hanahan; grandchildren, Ricky Baxley, Jr. (Ashley) of Moncks Corner, Brett Stephens of St Kitts, West Indies, Ashley Baxley of Hanahan, Chad Davis of Charleston and Holly Davis of Radford, VA; great-grandchildren, Emily Baxley of Hanahan and Drake Baxley of Moncks Corner. He was preceded in death by a son, who passed in 2009, Ronnie Baxley. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959 and retired from Mead-WestVaco in 1993. He was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. Frank's Funeral Service will take place on Friday, June 26, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. in Carolina Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow immediately after the service in Carolina Memorial Park. Benton, Carol Little  
Carol Little Benton MT. PLEASANT - Loving wife and mother, adoring grandmother, devoted friend, Carol Little Benton, 69, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away quietly at home surrounded by her family, June 22, 2015. Carol was born July 13, 1945 in Washington DC to Sarah Rita Brodie and Robert Burnes Little, who predeceased her. Carol was a graduate of General William Moultrie High School in Mt. Pleasant and attended the College of Charleston. Carol is survived by her childhood sweetheart and best friend, James Newton Benton of Mt. Pleasant, her sons Ronald Wade (Meta) Boals and Robert Shane Boals of Mt. Pleasant; two stepchildren, Jennifer Benton Marshall of Mt. Pleasant and Bryan James (Kathleen) Benton of Jacksonville, FL; Grandchildren, Elizabeth Madison Boals, Harrison Carter Boals, Caroline Victoria Boals, Lauren Ansley Boals, Jordan Thomas Marshall, and Alexander Conrad Marshall all of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Jack Farrington Boals of Nassau, Bahamas, and Michael James Benton of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Mary Ellen Addison (Mike) of Anderson, SC; and two brothers, Edward A. Granet (Cheryl) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Charles Steven Granet of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Also surviving are beloved nieces and nephews, Kristen, Catherine, Scott and Brodie. A successful business woman and entrepreneur, Carol owned and operated several businesses in Texas, retiring in 2009 from Ricoh Corp. Carol won numerous accolades and awards for her achievements during her extensive and rewarding career. Always active in her community, Carol was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club, and the Mt. Pleasant Business Association. She served on the Board of Directors for the Magdalene House of Charleston, a transitional home for women in recovery. As a young girl in Mt. Pleasant, Carol loved the beach, nature, and sports; excelling on the basketball and track teams while in high school. She was a private pilot, enjoyed golf, tennis, jogging, and dancing. More recently, yoga, reading, and traveling the world brought her great joy. Her greatest pleasure was in mentoring and assisting others to find hope and joy in their daily lives. Carol saw the beauty and sacredness in each individual she met. She specifically wanted all of those in "the program" to know how much she loved them and what great joy they brought into her life. A celebration of Carol's Life will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant, 681 McCants Drive, starting at 1:30 pm.
