Arvil Lawrence Moser, Jr. SUMMERVILLE - Arvil Lawrence Moser, Jr., 88, of Summerville, SC, husband of Evelyn Marye Coynor Moser, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, February 5, 2013 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church Chapel at 11 o'clock. Graveside services will follow at Old St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Cemetery (Hwy 61) at 3 o'clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church Choir Fund, 206 Central Avenue, Summerville, SC 29483. Mr. Moser was born on August 15, 1924 in Greensboro, NC, a son of Arvil Lawrence Moser, Sr. and Hazel Aline Leach Moser. He was retired from Westvaco. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir for many years, served on the church council, was a Sunday school teacher and member of the Lutheran Men. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. He was active in the Summerville Jaycees, was past Summerville PTA president and was very active in other civic activities. He was a longtime Red Cross blood donor. Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Evelyn C. Moser of Summerville; four children, Lawrence H. Moser of Charleston, Katharine M. Hughes of Mount Pleasant, Rebecca M. Nexsen (Louis) of Pinopolis, Mark C. Moser of Summerville; one half-brother, Richard Moser of Greensboro, NC; eleven grandchildren: Emily Tigner (Lee), Matthew Dorsey, Jenny Stevens (Ben), Jay Nexsen, Travis Moser (Valerie), Lauren Moser, Joshua Nexsen (Kathryn), Katharine Giddings (Evan), Melissa Williams (John O.), Chelsea Moser, Benjamin Moser; and ten great-grandchildren.
