Mendel Burbage MONCKS CORNER - Mendel "Bat" Burbage, 85, of Moncks Corner, SC, a retired truck driver for Westvaco Lumber, died Saturday at his daughter's residence. His funeral will be 3:00 PM Wednesday afternoon, November 21, 2012, in the Oakley Road Ministries. Interment will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens, directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the CHURCH from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening. Mr. Burbage was born April 27, 1927, in Moncks Corner, SC, a son of Daniel Burbage and Abbie Dangerfield Burbage. He was an Army veteran of W.W. II and a lifetime member of the VFW Post in Moncks Corner. Mr. Burbage was a member of the Oakley Road Ministries, and he enjoyed fishing and visiting with people (especially at Wal-Mart). He is the widower of Dorothy Clark Burbage. Surviving are, three daughters, Jackie Owens and her husband, Jimmy, of Moncks Corner, Gail Antley and her husband, Cecil, of Bristow, OK, and Terry Guerry and her husband, Glenn, of Macedonia; a son, Jeffrey Burbage and his wife, Kay, of Moncks Corner; nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
