James "Ricky" Rowley WALTERBORO - Mr. James Richard "Ricky" George Rowley, Jr., 47, of Walterboro, entered into rest Monday, May 20, 2013 at Colleton Medical Center. Mr. Rowley was born March 11, 1966 in Charleston and was a son of Barbara Ellen Smith and the late James Richard Rowley. A memorial service will be held 2 pm, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Walterboro Chapel. Surviving are: his mother, Barbara Smith of Summerville; sister, Roberta "Robin" Sink Knox and her husband Larry of Summerville; niece, Erin Knox Thomas and her husband John of Summerville; and a great-niece, Neve Thomas of Summerville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Kenneth "Jay" Sink. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to: Friends of the Colleton County Animal Shelter, 33 Poor Farm Road, Walterboro, South Carolina 29488; or to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org. Ricky was a good neighbor who helped us many times with mechanical problems. He was always very nice to us. We will miss seeing him riding down the road on his motor scooter as he waved to us!
