I will miss her very much. She and John were a wonderful point of contact with other worlds and perspectives and generous supporters of the cause of Christ. I only regret that it has been nine months since I saw her.

"I had the pleasure of working for Mrs Brabner for almost 5 years. She was an amazing person with the biggest heart and even biggest smile. All the years I worked for she made me feel welcome in her home and I am so saddened by her loss. I moved overseas and somehow had the urge to look her up and came across her obituary. I will never forget you.
I will miss you immensely. Rest in peace"

Daniela was an enormous blessing to me, and to the whole Nix family. The special bond of friendship that she shared with my mother kept our families in close contact, and from my early teens Daniella was a role model of what I wanted to be like when I grew up. One of my favorite memories of her is a drive we took together from VA to GA to attend a Christian Women's convention. Her joy in life, her love for Jesus and her exuberance were contagious, and just being around her was a blessing! Daniela's hospitality knew no bounds, and for many years there seemed to be a
well-worn path between Melrose and Catoctin Mill farms. Those are precious memories.
Although it saddens me to know that Daniella is no longer with us physically, I rejoice to know that "now she knows in full even as she is fully known" and it makes me smile to imagine her praising God with the angels.
May the peace of God be with all of her family as we celebrate with you the amazing gift of Daniela's life.

Liebe Ussi, ich bin traurig darüber, dass ich es nicht geschafft habe dich in den Staaten zu besuchen. Ich erinnere mich gerne an unsere Gespräche bei den Familienfeiern. Thomas

I remember "Daniela" as "Mrs Brabner-Smith" because I was taught to address adults that way. I could just as easily have called her "Daniela" because she was young at heart and full of energy. She was a generous friend and used her gift of hospitality whenever the opportunity arose. I looked up to her and learned so much from how she lived her life. Through the years, I lost touch with her but I cherish the memories I have of her and her husband John on their Catocton Farm In Taylorstown, VA.. My love and sympathy go out to her family. She will be missed!

I remember Mrs. Brabner-Smith fondly from my youth. I remember her kindness to an awkward little girl. I am thankful that God blessed us and enriched our lives with such an amazing woman.

Daniela was a blessing in my life. I will always remember her for her outspoken love for Jesus and her faith in Him. Now is her time for a joyous homecoming. To her family, please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother/ grandmother / great-grandmother.
