Betty Jean Ulmer Donnelly RUFFIN, SC - Mrs. Betty Jean Ulmer Donnelly, 83, of 337 Enoch Road entered into her eternal rest on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the Colleton Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock on Friday, February 8, 2013, in the Bethel United Methodist Church, Ruffin charge. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Donnelly was born August 15, 1929 in Ruffin and was the daughter of the late Basil G. Ulmer and Mattie Carter Ulmer. She was a retired administrative assistant with the Independent Life Insurance Company. She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, Ruffin charge where she was the former pianist and a member of the Bethel Methodist Ladies Missionary Group. She loved camping and traveling. She was first married to the late Roy W. Gilmore and secondly to the late Theodore "Ted" C. Donnelly, Jr. Surviving are: her son, Wayne Gilmore of Ruffin, four grandchildren, Kimberly Hughes, Nikki Tripp, Lindsey Schofield and Joshua Taylor and three great grandchildren, Kennedy Burton, Dalton Hughes and Garrett Hughes. She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Gilmore Taylor, her daughter in law, Sharon Gilmore, one brother and three sisters. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday at the BRICE W. HERNDON AND SONS FUNERAL HOMES, WALTERBORO CHAPEL, at 1193 Bells Highway. 843-538-5408.
