Clarence U. Claud BONNEAU BEACH, SC - Clarence U. Claud (Mutt), 87, of Bonneau Beach died Sunday, December 2, 2012 in Trident Medical Center in North Charleston after a short illness. Mr. Claud was born in Wallace N.C., a son of the late Delia Thomas and C. C. Claud. A son, Joe Claud in 1998 and his wife Martha Eddins Claud predeceased him in 2010. He worked and retired from Westvaco. Surviving are his stepson, Cecil Nunnally of Columbia, S.C. and step-grandson, David Nunnally of Goose Creek, S. C., sister-in-law Mary Fay Lamb of Hagerstown, MD and brother-in-law, Bill Eddins of Columbia, S.C. In addition to nieces and nephews-Patti Foust of Charlotte, N.C., Donna Workman of Charlotte, N.C., Debbie Ervin of Pilot Mtn, N.C., Martha McCoy of Fairfield, IA, Dale Pitts of Boonsboro, MD, Andy Benke of Sullivan's Island, S.C. and Ed Williamson of Florence, S.C. and a special neighbor and friend- Brenda Camp of Bonneau Beach, S.C. Uncle Mutt, as he was lovingly known as, was an avid deer hunter and fisherman and belonged to several hunting clubs. He loved to grow a garden and share with those in the neighborhood and family. Anyone who needed advice to "fix" things sought him out. His family and friends will miss him. A private memorial for the family will be conducted at a later date.
