David Stone Obituary
Born Sunday, September 13, 1964, in Richmond, Virginia, he was the son of David W. Stone, Jr. and Virginia Sexton Stone. He was the husband of Denise Varner Stone.
Dr. Stone was a graduate of the College of Charleston and MUSC College of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation from dental college, he served for five years in US Public Health Service before beginning private practice in Charleston. He was an avid outdoorsman.
In addition to his wife and parents, Dr. Stone is survived by his daughter, Delaney Stone of the home; brothers, Steve Stone and wife Kim; Barrett Stone and wife Jennifer; Eric Stone and wife Angela; grandmother, Virginia Ruth Collins of Bluefield, WV; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Grace United Methodist Church located at 1601 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. 29407. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or The Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd, N. Charleston, 29406.

Dear Stone Family,
The news of David's death was so sad to me. I was not a close friend, only a patient. However, he had such a wonderful personality and demeanor. I have known this wonderful family over 35 years. David III worked for us at Northbridge Piggly Wiggly in High School..he was an outstanding young man even then and we had no doubts he would go far and do well in the world. Dr. David Sr. my heart breaks for you and Darlene how are parents able to endure such a tragic loss and go on...I cannot imagine..knowing you for the fine christians you are I have no doubts your Love of David will be with you always and your loss will be helped by all the wonderful friends and family and patients you have. My son was a year younger but he was so sad to hear about David they worked together at the Pig and he remembered him well...he cleaned my younger sons teeth a few years ago when he was here on vacation with just a couple days notice...he was a wonderful young man and you have my deepest condolences in your terrible loss...Take all your memories to heart and know all of us remember him also and his life's legacy will continue thru Delaney too...God Bless all of you and give you the strength and hope to endure.
