Elizabeth Austin Pinopolis, SC - Elizabeth Bunch Austin, 86, of Pinopolis, SC, died Sunday morning in a local nursing home. Her funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday afternoon, June 13, 2018, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow in the Austin Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Tuesday evening. Mrs. Austin was born October 25, 1931, in Dorchester County, SC, a daughter of Henry P. Bunch and Dora Grooms Bunch. She was a member of St. John's Baptist Church and the WMU. Mrs. Austin enjoyed crocheting, gardening, cooking, and shopping, but most of all, she loved taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and also taking care of "Sugar Babe". Mrs. Austin was very strong in her Christian faith. She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Austin, and a brother, Carl P. Bunch. She was the widow of Robert Austin. Surviving are, two sons, Mike Austin and his wife, Denny, and Allen Austin and his wife, Vanessa, all of Pinopolis; four grandchildren, Jill Welch and her husband, Dwayne, Leanda Robinson and her husband, Brian, Heather Austin, and Meagan Brunson and her husband, Mitchell, all of Pinopolis; and eight great-grandchildren, Deanna Austin, Caroline Welch, Logan Robinson, Ransom Welch, Sarah Brunson, Joey Brunson, Ellie Brunson, and Ashley Robinson. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Roper Hospice, the staff at Lake Moultrie Nursing Home, and to her "in home" caregivers.
