Gary Walter Wolford Summerville - Gary Walter Wolford, 76, of Summerville, husband of Joyce Wolford passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Trident Medical Center. Family and friends are invited to attend Gary's visitation on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 11 o'clock until hour of service at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 12 o'clock. Burial will follow at Summerville Cemetery, 1330 Boonehill Rd., Summerville, SC. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Summerville Baptist Church, 417 Central Ave., Summerville, SC 29483. Gary was born on December 9, 1941 in Highland Park, MI, son of the late George and Ruth Wolford. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Roanoke, VA where he played varsity football and baseball. He was a former Marine and retired from optical sales. He was a member of Summerville Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir. He loved all contact sports and most of all enjoyed playing golf. Survivors including his wife Joyce are: two sons: Mark Wolford and Greg Wolford both of Roanoke, VA; granddaughter: Whitney Wolford; two step sons: Mark White of Summerville and Trevor White (Meredith) of Lake Alford, FL; four step grandchildren: Brittany Arrington (Colt), Brooke White (Josh), Alexis White (Kory), and Alex White; two step great grandchildren: Kyler and Addison; Extended family: Tiffany Stevenson, Brittany, Chelsea, Pasha and Lucas; three brothers: Donald Wolford (Jackie), Jimmy Wolford (Carolyn) and Larry Wolford (Pam).
