Hazel D. Joy BONNEAU, SC - Hazel DeHart Joy, 77, of Bonneau, SC, died Tuesday morning, December 24, 2013, in the Bahamas. Her memorial service will be 3:00 PM Thursday afternoon, January 9, 2013, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 PM until the hour of service Thursday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to MUSC Children's Hospital Fund, PO Box 250201, Charleston, SC 29425, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942. Mrs. Joy was born September 19, 1936, in McCarr, Kentucky, a daughter of Cecil DeHart and Minnie Mae Collins DeHart. She was formerly a file clerk for the FBI, a cosmetic representative for Belk's, and an office manager for Keller Building Products. She enjoyed traveling, square dancing, and playing Bingo, but most of all, she loved children and was currently a volunteer at Sangaree Elementary School. Mrs. Joy was preceded in death by a son, Mickey D. Morris, and a sister, Cecilia "Sue" Blackburn. Surviving are, her husband, Billy S. Joy; two sons, Randy Morris of Chapel Hill, NC, and Patrick Morris of Bonneau; two sisters, Shirley "Bug" Blackburn, and Annie Hart both of Lexington, KY; a brother, Jack DeHart of Kalamazoo, MI; two grandchildren, Nicole and Joel Morris, and a great-granddaughter, Madelyne Still.
