Lucille Sanders Wadmalaw Island - Lucille Hattie Sanders, 90, of Wadmalaw Island went to be with her heavenly father on June 6, 2018. Lucille was born on December 29,1927 in Kilsyth, WV to parents Asa Marcus Murdock and Georgia Bragg Murdock. Beloved mother of Drema Carter (John) of Ehrhardt, SC, Mark Sanders (Carol) of Wadmalaw Island, SC, and Debra Carter (Mike) of Wadmalaw Island, SC. Cherished by 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Louis A Sanders, daughter Jane Finnerty, brothers, George Murdock, Jimmy Murdock and Marcus Murdock, and sisters Thelma Brewer, Barbara Levy, Louise Vance, Viola Barron, Elizabeth Shelton, Mary Farthing, Bertha Steplowski, and Phyllis Farthing. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and was a great cake baker and was a member of the Stono Baptist Church on Johns Island. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home from 9 to 11 am. Life Well Celebrated Service will be at 11 am at the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, all located at 7113 Rivers Ave. North Charleston.
