Audrey and the Alston Family
On the Loss of Your Sister

Not how did she die, but how did she live?
Not what did she gain, but what did she give?
These are the units to measure the worth
of a man as a man, regardless of birth.

Not, what was her church, nor what was her creed?
But had she befriended those really in need?
Was she ever ready, with word of good cheer,
to bring back a smile, to banish a tear?

Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
but how many were sorry when she passed away.

Audrey, it's hard to lose someone you love,
one who's been a part of your life and your world...But hope there is comfort in knowing that one thing you'll always have is the memory of that love and of the special person who shared it with you.

Thinking of your with friendship and sympathy to you and your family,

To Rev. Alston and our Family

I know this time of grief is so difficult for you and thinking of you hurting makes my heart hurt too. We can never really know how another feels. I hope you only know my concern for you is real. I just wish there was something more that I could do to take away the sorrow that is weighing down on you. Although I cannot change this, I can extend my loving thoughts, my heartfelt prayers for you. The love and journey of their life with you, leaves a memory that will last for eternity. The loss of Minnie leaves a heartache no one can ever heal.

Sharing in Your Sorrow,

Georgette Stewart, Lillian Robinson, Skylar, Sybil Stewart

To My Alston Family,
May you find comfort in knowing that cousin Minnie is at rest and her labor had been rewarded with the many lives she has touched over the years. As she taught and instilled in many of us that we can be whatever we desire to be in this world BUT we must work hard, reach for the stars and strive for excellence. She had a stern way with her words but those words left a legacy in our hearts......

Sleep on cousin Minnie; sleep on. You have worked out your soul salvation and now you take your rest in the arms of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.....

To Rev. Alston, Renee, Jewel, Williette and the rest of the family, my thoughts and prayers are with you today and everyday and know that God has taken another one of his precious roses and placed her in his Heavenly Garden..... Love you all!
