Joann Lindeman Obituary

Joann Lindeman CHARLESTON, W.VA - Joann L. Lindeman, 74, of Charleston, WV, passed away at Charleston General Hospital on Tuesday, May 18, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Elsie Dicken and Lewis P. Walker of Ridgely, WV. She received her degrees from West Virginia University and Northwestern University. She had worked as an Educator and Counselor in Secondary Education in Kanawha County. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Charleston where she had been a past Sunday School Teacher and a past board member of the Pastoral Center and a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. Joann was preceded in death by her first husband, Jonah William Weese and brother Lewis Pierce Walker of suburban D.C. She is survived by her husband, Glen E. Lindeman; children, Jeanine Branham (Larry) of John's Island, SC, Joel Weese (Susanne) of Charleston, WV, Connie Ralston (Edwin) of Hamersville, OH, Melissa Eikelberger (Ronald) of Withamsville, OH, Jeffrey Lindeman (Mona) of McLean, VA, and Barry Lindeman (Penney) of Paris, KY; brother, Douglas Walker of Herndon, VA; grandchildren, Jennie Branham, Katherine, Rachel, and Hannah Weese, Julie and David Ralston, Alicia Tonkin, Ron Eikelberger, Matthew Lindeman, Bain, and Bailey Lindeman; and great-grandchildren, Shane and Breane Tonkin. Memorial service will be 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at the First Presbyterian Church, Charleston with Dr. Bill McCoy officiating. Donations may be to: First Presbyterian Church, 16 Leon Sullivan Way, Charleston, WV 25301 or to a charity of your choice.
