Ruby Hallman Edwards MONCKS CORNER - Ruby Elizabeth Hallman Edwards, 93, of Moncks Corner, SC, widow of John P. Edwards, Sr., died Sunday, June 17, 2012 peacefully at home. Born May 6, 1919 in Summit, Georgia; she was the daughter of Evans Dixon Hallman and Willa Dora McNure Hallman. She loved the Lord Jesus and loved His people. Mrs. Edwards served the Lord faithfully for more than 55 years as a Sunday school teacher, as a member on numerous pulpit committees, sang in the choir and served wherever she was needed. She was a founding member of Berkeley Baptist Church in Moncks Corner. Mrs. Edwards is survived by her sons: John P. Edwards, Jr and his wife Elizabeth Edwards (deceased) of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, Fred Edwards and his wife Bonnie of North Charleston, SC, son, Michael Edwards (deceased) and his wife Josephine of Moncks Corner, SC; David Edwards and his wife Susan of Moncks Corner, SC; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah Wadford of St. Stephen, SC and brother, Claxton Hallman of Knoxville, TN. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Clyde Hallman, Clayton Hallman and Cleo Hallman; sisters, Irene Hallman Dixon and Sally Mae Hallman. The funeral service will be held in Berkeley Baptist Church, Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 11:00 am. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Wednesday, June 20, 2012 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.
