Ruth Stewart Reeves GOOSE CREEK - Ruth Stewart Reeves, 64, of Goose Creek, SC, departed this mortal world on February 2, 2013 due to complications from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). She took the Lord's hand and quietly accompanied Him home. She was born in Charlotte, NC on June 11, 1948 to Norma Warnock Stewart and the late Robert Lewis Stewart. She enjoyed traveling, cooking and volunteering at the Salem Baptist Church Food Trust. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from Garinger High School in Charlotte, NC in 1966. She was an active member of Salem Baptist Church of Summerville, SC. Ruth is survived by her husband, Bernhard H. Reeves, Jr. of Goose Creek, SC; mother, Norma Stewart of St. George, SC; two daughters, Margaret Elizabeth Robinson and her husband Devin of Cross, SC and Kristina Ruth Litzenberger and her husband Jeff of Goose Creek, SC. She is also survived by four granddaughters: Victoria Ruth Cumbee, Elizabeth Ann Cumbee, Emilea Faith McDonald and Grace Marie Litzenberger. Bernhard and Ruth were married for 40 years. The family will receive visitors during the viewing between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 6 at Salem Baptist Church, 321 Old Summerville Road, Summerville, SC 29483; funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm . Graveside services will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL. The family will gratefully accept floral tributes or memorials may be made in honor of Ruth Reeves to Salem Baptist Church Food Trust.
