Idgalia Aguiar IRON STATION - Idgalia Aguiar, age 80, compassionate woman, and beloved wife of Jose Aguiar, of Iron Station, went to be with the Lord on May 4, 2013. Igdalia was born on December 30, 1932 in Bayam¢n, Puerto Rico to Deogracia Figueroa and Mar¡a Vasquez. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her through a courageous battle with cancer. In addition to Jose Sr., her devoted husband of 59 years, she will be remembered and greatly missed by her children, Jose Aguiar Jr. and wife Debbie, of Iron Station, NC, Wanda Rowe and husband Richard, of Wichita, Kansas, and Blanca Soto and husband David, of Staten Island, New York; Brothers and sisters, Carmen Lopez, Rosa Vasquez, Ram¢n Vasquez, Gustavo Vasquez, Esther Figueroa, Olga Figueroa, Alfonso Figueroa, Francisco Figueroa; Grandchildren, Luis, Nelson, Joanne, Kimbely, Lynda, Tiffany, Debbie, Thomas Jr., Cynthia, Ammie, and Krystal; Great-Grandchildren, Christopher, Caitlin, Kaylee, Autumn, Isana‚, Jayden, Chace, Walker, Sloan, and Julian. Igdalia was preceded in death by her son Thomas Aguiar; Brothers; Serafin Vasquez, and Ernesto Figueroa. The Aguiar Family would like to express their love and appreciation to CNA Stephanie Hinson for the loving, compassionate care she provided to their beloved "Mama." A devout Christian, she lived her faith every day, and performed countless selfless acts of kindness throughout her life. Though Igdalia will be greatly missed by all who knew her, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is now in glory with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May the sweet memories of our beloved "Mama" inspire us all to walk in her footsteps. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 8th at 4:00 PM at The Grace Covenant Church, 17301 Statesville Rd, Cornelius, NC 28031.
