Sharon Shepard Arnold CHARLOTTE - Sharon Shepard Arnold, age 58, died peacefully at home due to diabetic complications early Friday morning, December 28, 2012. She was a Florida native that made Charlotte her home in 1974. Sharon is survived by her mother, Marilyn English, daughter and son in law; Courtney and Gabriel Davis and her loving and devoted partner; Richard Webb of Charlotte. Additionally, she has three brothers; James Jr., Tracy, Ronald Shepard and two sisters; Gail Hunter-Hill and Joey Watkins. In life, she was the glue that held her family together. Sharon was a loving mother, devoted to family; she was a lover of animals and demonstrated selfless and limitless generosity in all that she did. She was the ultimate "team mom", the motivator, who never took no for an answer. She was preceded in death by her father; James Shepard, brother; Alan Shepard, niece; Tara Shepard and very recently, her dearly loved brother-in-law; Steven Watkins of Florida. A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 30th, 2012 at 3:00pm at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Charlotte, NC 28227. A memorial service will follow at 4:30pm. In lieu of flowers please send donations in her name to either the Diabetes Foundation, or her favorite children's charity, Saint Jude Children's Hospital. Sharon loved music, dancing and swimming. May she enjoy in Heaven an unbroken body that she once experienced on this earth. Online condolences may be left at www.mcewenminthillchapel.com

I remember Sharon making me and Country many nachos and buckeyes. She always made me feel welcome in her home. What great memories I have of her. She was a very special lady. Courtney, I miss you and think of you often. I lost my mother years ago and the pain is awful. I pray God gives you strength and comfort.

I was a neighbor of Sharon's a few years ago. I haven't seen her since then, but do want to wish her family comfort and peace in the coming days. She was a sweet lady, and I know she will be missed greatly.

Hope you are smiling down at Courtney now, and holding her hand as she struggles through the next few weeks. Your pain is gone now, and I am thankful for that. But you will forever be missed by your family and friends.
