Irene Williamson Payne LINCOLNTON - Irene Williamson Payne, 91, of Lincolnton, formerly of Huntersville, died Monday, November 19, 2012, at the Brian Center in Lincolnton, NC. She was born in Madison County, GA and was the daughter of the late Dewey Williamson and Rosa Mae Bales Williamson. Mrs. Payne retired from Kimbrell's Funiture Company in Charlotte where she worked as a bookkeeper for 50 years. Preceding her in death was her beloved husband John Allen Payne, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her children, John Payne and wife, Sandy, of Lincolnton; Jimmy L. Payne (Jean Miller) of York, SC; grandchildren, Michael Payne, Kimberly Berry, Bobby England, Beth Tice, Mark England and Kristy Payne-Leonard; great grandchildren, David Picklesimer, Ashley Payne, Derrick Picklesimer, Lindsay Payne-Morgan, Cassie England, Dylan Berry, Britton England, Brooke England, Sommer Tice, Brandi Berry, Matthew Barker and Blake Leonard; one expected great-great granddaughter, Arianna Morgan and sister, Gladys Freeman of Athens, Ga. A graveside service will be held 2:00pm Friday, November 23, 2012 at Forest Lawn West Cemetery with Pastor Ted R. Bost, Jr. officiating. Visitation is prior to the service from 1:00 - 1:45pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are in the care of Forest Lawn West Funeral & Cremation Service, 4601 Freedom Dr., Charlotte, NC. No one is ever prepared for that final goodbye, no matter how long we have to prepare. It's really hard but time, family and memories all help to ease the pain. So very sorry for your lose. Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers. Sorry I can't be there with you on Friday. Love you all. Betty L.
