Friday, Mark Craig - Charlotte
Mark Craig Friday, companion, extraordinary dad, christian, grill master, tennis player, tailgater, lake lover, craft beer brewer, jokester, fire pit chief, Carolina Panther fan, coffee aficionado, Gamecock fanatic and trivia buff, died on April 28, 2016. Mark would marry his college sweetheart, Nancy, with whom he would have two boys, Lathan (19) and Isaac(14). He taught his boys many things including the value of family, how to fish, return a serve, drive a boat and the importance of being kind to everyone they meet. The example Mark set by helping others and giving of his time at his church and in his community are lifelong lessons they will never forget. The only thing more contagious than his sense of humor was Mark's laugh. Everyone that knew Mark could see his passion for life which was expressed through his epic laugh. His laugh was just like his heart, immense. If he had something you needed, he would find a way to make it yours. There is nothing Mark wouldn't do for his family or his friends. He would always greet you with his captivating smile accompanied by one of his famous hugs. According to his boys, their dad gave the best hugs. His signature gift of joy will never be forgotten. It is no surprise how successful Mark would be in the sales industry. He could talk to anyone and make them feel as if they had known him forever. Mark was a Senior National Accounts Manager for S&D Coffee. Mark was preceded in death by his dad, Harold Friday. In addition to Nancy and the boys, Mark leaves behind his mother, Elizabeth Friday Broome, a sister, Phyllis McConnell and husband Mac, brother, Steve Friday and wife Beth, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mark was loved by many and his absence will be forever felt. Before his death, Mark expressed his desire to assist the Civil Air Patrol. This is an organization in which his youngest son, Isaac is highly involved. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to: Civil Air Patrol, #111 Squadron, 4208 Mountain Cove Drive, Charlotte, NC 28216. Please join us in celebrating Mark's life.
