Blanche was my aunt, who was always a strong lady, one who got on a bus after graduation and travel to Baltimore to work on aircraft and live in a YWCA.This has always stay with me,knowing how brave she had to be especially in those times. She was a great wife and Mother to the point she tried to protect her children before it was necessary. At the age of 7 my mother was in her 1st trimester of her pregnancy and I had been exposed to Rubella . After reaching out to Blanche it was decided that I would spend 3 wks. at the Sigmon's home. This was to serve in helping both my family and theirs, there was no Rubella vaccine at that time. Yes Blanche graciously and tenderly took on another child for this period of time and she remained the same through out her life. Love Karen

Blanche was a nice lady who loved her family more than anything. You were all fortunate to have a mother and grandmother like her.

I haven't known Mrs. Mitchell very long, but what I knew of her she was such a nice lady. I know you have lots of fond memories of her and we all know she is now in heaven where we will see her again one day. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
