Jo Ingersoll Obituary
Ms. Ingersoll, of Charlotte, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009, after a 37 year battle with cancer.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ingersoll of Jackson, Michigan, she was born September 29, 1946.
She is survived by many cousins, extended families and a vast circle of close friends.
She has touched many lives in a profound way and will be remembered most for her gentle and kind spirit, love freely given and beautiful smile.
Jo was proprietor of Shelton Florist since the early 1970's and was very active in the Southern Retail Florist Association for many years. She was an AIFD designer and won countless awards and recognition in the Florist Industry.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 at Saint Gabriel Catholic Church with a reception to follow.
Memorials can be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 East Seventh St. Charlotte, NC 28204.

I suppose God needed one of his angels back- not only did she have a talent with every arrangement to look so elegant and first class all the way but you always felt better after talking with her like you had received the flowers yourself instead of ordering for others. what an inspiration and what a legacy ..thank you for always making me and the company I work with look so good!!we will forever miss you

Jo, I so hope you have the peace from the cancer that you fought so valiantly and graciously. Kate, Mariel and Ryan and all of us miss you already. Kate went and spent much time looking through all her stuffed animals you insisted (!) on giving her all those visits! Lamydoodle is still intact! It is so hard for "Cynthia" without your precious friendship...as it is for all your close friends. Here's to all the good times: greasy spoon diners, NYC, "glass" conversations, endless greening of vases and dethorning roses (the only floral tasks I could help you with!), the love you gave to my children, and all the times with Cindy, you and me in Charlotte.
