Doris Ballard Braddy CHARLOTTE - Mrs. Doris Ballard Braddy, 87, of Charlotte, NC, passed away Tuesday, the 29th of December 2015 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House - Huntersville. She was born Thursday, the 14th of March 1928 in Charlotte, NC, one of twelve children to the late John Ballard and Minnie Ballard. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who so diligently cared for her husband, Harold, before his death. The Braddy family will greet friends Tuesday, the 5th of January 2015 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Ellington Funeral Services. A service to celebrate her life will be at 3:00 PM in The Historic Morehead Street Chapel of Ellington Funeral Services. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Harold, at Sunset Memory Gardens. She is survived by her four children: Harold "Sonny" Braddy of Sharon, SC; Sandy Whitesides of Denver, NC; Debbie Holden of Hartsville, SC and Wayne Braddy of Charlotte, NC; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
