I played for Mr.Barmes in Little League for Dilworth Methodist Church in 1965 & 1966. Always remember him giving me the take sign and I did, strike 3. The other coach Vic Caldwell, kicked me in the butt and asked Bruce "Did you give him the take sign". He and Steve were grat folks and we would ofter go out to eat lunch after Sunday Church, it iwas a GREAT time in my life !
So sorry about his passing and that of Steve, Two WONDERFUL PEOPLE !

I grew up working at the Griffith ball park in the late fifties and early 60's I grew up with your family when you lived on Kinston Ave.My mother worked with Judy at Mel Jackson taxes. I use to play with Steve and his sister throwing the baseball that was such a long time ago. I do remember your dad at the game as well at home what a fine person he was. Just thought I would like to say hello after a lone time.

My sincere sympathy to the family. It is a blessing Bruce lived a long life because there are many people who may never see his age. May Almighty God who provide comfort to us (2 Cor 1:3) be with you during this difficult time of your life.

So sorry to hear about Bruce. Rely on Almighty God because he is near to those that are broken at heart and will provide you with the strength to continue on.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Barmes family. I never had a chance writing to Bruce, but I had the opportunity to speak with him over the phone a long time ago. I never was able to find a photo of him until recently. I will remember his stories.
