Alice Crow Obituary
Jeanetta Flowers Crow
Mrs. Crow, 75, of Charlotte died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 in the Harris Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born January 1, 1935 in Union County, NC, daughter of the late Bruce and Pauline McWhorter Flowers.
Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an apprentice under D. Kortheuer, professor of art at the Charlotte Mint Museum. Her passion for art shared her love of life with all she knew.
In addition to her parents Alice was preceded in death by husband, James William 'Bill' Crow, Sr.; sister, Johnsie Montgomery and granddaughters, Andrea Pauline Starnes and Dominique Kiser.
Survivors include her constant companion, Priester Groce; children, Cathy C. Starnes, James 'BJ' W. Crow, Jr., Melissa Ann C. 'Missy' Holliday and Bruce Anthony 'Tony' Crow; brothers, Edwin T. Flowers and James C. 'Jim' Flowers; grandchildren, Jessica Starnes Lynch, Erica Starnes, Holly Crow, William Holliday, IV, Jeremy Holliday, Steven Holliday and Penny Groce Burns and three great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 in the Dilworth Chapel of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service with the Reverend Scot McComas officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harris Hospice Unit at Presbyterian Hospital, PO Box 33549, Charlotte, NC 28233.
