Jack Malone Obituary

Jack Clinard Malone
Mr. Malone, age 79, of Charlotte passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010. He was born September 26, 1931 in Cleveland County NC son of the late Percy C. and Frances Whitesides Malone. Mr. Malone was a Charlotte City Police Officer retiring after 22 years of service, He was a former member of the Masons, a charter member of Cornerstone Baptist Church formerly Chantilly Baptist Church. He was a dedicated son, loved watching TV and visiting friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 18, 2010 at McEwen Funeral Service Charlotte Chapel, 5716 Monroe Rd., Charlotte, NC 28212 conducted by his pastor, Reverend Jerry Woolery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
Mr. Malone is survived by a special niece and caregiver Celia Pribble, special friends Peggy and Tad Campbell and Daryl Hopper, cousins Sadie Lowery, Mildred Pennington, Beth Dalton, Joe Patterson, Mary Lou Smith, Frances Ward, Lucy Burges and Dan Whitesides and friend Teresa Gerringer of Charlotte. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 8947 Albemarle Rd., Charlotte, NC 28227.
