I am so sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Em at CMS. I was impressed with her professional and her parenting skills. The kids joined us one morning as we worked on McClintocks schedule. I know they were bored but they didn't make a sound! Em made sure their time was filled! :-) Y'all will be in my prayers.

To the Covington Family,
It is the most tragic event anyone can experience, to lose a loved one in death. Emmenita's birth brought great joy to her mother and father. Her mother was my teacher some years ago. I knew Emmenita as a very young child but remember how her mother talked about her every advancement. Even though she has fallen asleep in death, we can have hope in the resurrection of life as Jesus promised at John 5:28,29. The hope of everlasting life in a paradise earth is the Bible's promise for mankind. (John 17:3, Psalm 37:11,29) May these scriptures and the God of comfort bring peace to the family during this most difficult time.

The news of Em's death was shocking to receive. Em was a very special friend and her enthusiasm to mentor young people was infectious. My prayers and thoughts are with her family and friends.

My paternal grandmother, Winnie Dunlap, was married to COVINGTON before marrying my grandfather, Calvin Chambers. As I read Em's obituary, I could feel a connection family-wise--especially since her occupational choices mirror those of many family members - Covingtons and Chambers. The physical family resemblance is also uncanny--that beautiful smile. Although we never met, her spirit resonates and will live on inside of all of us--family known and unknown. REST:)
