Michael Dan Reep
Mr. Reep, 58, of Charlotte, died Friday, September 3, 2010 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Greenville, S.C. and the son of Macie Smith Reep of Charlotte and the late Ernest Lee Reep, Jr.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2010 in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with Reverend Allen Beard officiating.
Interment will follow in Hollywood Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the WWII Last Man Club of Gaston County.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
Dan was an avid camper and loved the outdoors. He became an Eagle Scout at the age of 16. Dan served in the United States Marine Corps and was veteran of Viet Nam. He played the banjo and enjoyed bluegrass music. He has been a fan of the Beatles since the '60's. Dan was a Christian man with strong Christian beliefs. He loved his family, friends and he was a wonderful son and brother. Dan would want us to recognize his good friend, Larry Jolly of Rock Hill, S.C. who has been like a brother to him throughout his adult life. In addition to his mother he is survived by, brother and sister-in-law, Herschel Steve Reep and wife Rebecca of Quincy, FL, sister Ernestine Reep West of Charlotte, sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane Reep Moretz and husband James of Atlanta, Ga., Nieces and Nephews, Stephanie Booker, Levi West, Adam Reep, Brittany West and Jake Moretz.
Pallbearers will be Steve Reep, James Moretz, Levi West, Dale Fish, Stephen Meyer and John Booker.
Memorials may be of the donor's choice.
