Caleb William Reid HUNTERSVILLE - Caleb William Reid, 20, of Huntersville, died Saturday, August 30, 2014, due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Caleb was born on September 28, 1993, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was raised in Huntersville and graduated from Lincoln Charter School in 2011. He was employed by Roman-ello's Pizza in Huntersville. Caleb was excited and preparing to join the Navy with an enlistment date in December. His dream was to be a Navy Seal. Caleb was the Commanding Officer of his Naval Recruitment Class. Caleb is survived by his mother, Sherry Moore Reid; father, Brent Reid and wife Joette; brother Jacob and girlfriend Tiffany; niece Jada and nephew Braxton; stepbrother Tony Ilaria; stepsister Brittany Ilaria; and step-nephew Aiden. His brothers by choice are Josh Taylor, Dustin Taylor and Zach Taylor. He is also survived by his grandmothers Doris Moore and Marcelle Reid of Huntersville and many aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends. Caleb was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather D.G. Moore and paternal grandfather Harold "Dick" Reid. Caleb was a loving son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He was a sweet, wonderful young man, with a beautiful smile and a promising future. Caleb loved dogs and spending time with his family and friends. Even though Caleb is no longer present, we will always remember his love and hugs. A memorial service to celebrate Caleb's life will be held on 11 AM Tuesday, September 2, at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 10500 Beatties Ford Road, Huntersville, with Rev. Allan Purtill officiating. Burial is afterwards in the church cemetery. Burial will follow the funeral in the church cemetery.
