Carl M. Jamison, Sr. CHARLOTTE - Mr. Jamison, 74, of Charlotte, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Presbyterian Matthews. Carl was born July 27, 1938 in Charlotte, son of the late James B. Jamison and Ella Louise Yost Jamison. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Carl began golfing at the age of seven and his love and passion for golf continued throughout his life and as a Professional Golfer for over 42 years, retiring from the Fort Mill Golf Course in 2003. Still a current member of the PGA, he was honored by the club with the creation of the Jamison Cup at the Fort Mill Course. He was a lifelong member of the Robinson Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Marcia Jamison; children, Mitch Jamison and his wife, Mica, and Melanie Holbrooks and her fianc, Scott; three sisters, Nancy Nance, Libby Wilson, and Janice Edwards; three brothers, Buddy Jamison, Ben Jamison, and Phil Jamison; three grandchildren, Timmy Adams, Candace Adams, Harlie Lambert; three great-grandchildren, Delilah, Rylee, and Brayden; and several nieces and nephews. The family will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday evening to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Service Mint Hill Chapel.
