Dan Pearman, Sr. DARLINGTON - Daniel Larrime Pearman, Sr., age 84, passed away at his home Monday, July 28, 2014. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Black Creek Baptist Church with burial following in Black Creek Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Born in Greenwood County, the son of the late John Claude and Katherine Vermillion Pearman, Mr. Pearman served his country with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a 1951 graduate of Clemson University with an electrical engineering degree and retired from Duke Power in 1988. He served in the Air Force Reserves, was a past president of the Rotary Club and was a member, trustee and deacon of Black Creek Baptist Church. An avid Clemson fan, he enjoyed all sports. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Frances Gandy Pearman of Darlington; his children: Kathy (Tim) Barbee of Locust, NC and Danny (Kristy) Pearman of Clemson; his grandchildren: Margaret, Noah, and Sam Barbee, Taylor, Tanner and Trent Pearman; also, his sister, Patsy McDonald of Donald, SC.
