Daniel Edward Wadford SALISBURY - Daniel Edward Wadford, 66, of Salisbury passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, at CMC Northeast in Concord. Born December 11, 1947 in Columbia, S.C., he was the son of the late Georgia Arlestine Vest Wadford and Edward Monroe Wadford. Mr. Wadford was a veteran of the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a Superintendent for the John M. Campbell Construction Company, Monroe for 20 years before retiring. Mr. Wadford was a member of Faith Baptist Church, the Harvest Sunday School Class and Faith Baptist Men's Mission. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Danny Roger Wadford on Oct. 30, 2005, and a sister, Joyce Wadford Gardner. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Anita Willis Wadford; children, Timothy James Wadford of Raleigh, Rebecca Kiser and husband John of Charlotte, and Kenneth Charles Frost and wife Tiffany of Salisbury; brother, Steven Wadford of Lexington, S.C.; sisters, Carol Rae Smith and husband O'Neal of Lexington, Valree Wooten and husband Doug of Lexington, Charleen Fitzgerald and husband Joe of West Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren, Heather Wadford, Dana Wadford, L.J. Kiser, Bailey Kiser, Olivia Kiser, Gabe Kiser, Roman Frost and Madeline Frost; great-granddaughter, A'myah McCollum. Mr. Wadford will be moved to his residence where the family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday (May 12). Funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m.Tuesday (May 13) at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Smith, officiating. Mr. Wadford will lie in state 30 minutes before the service. Interment will follow at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard and the National Guard.
