Hedrick Miller Faggart, Jr. "Bud" MOORESVILLE - Hedrick "Bud" Miller Faggart, Jr., 86, of Mooresville, entered into his heavenly home on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his home surrounded by love. Bud was born in Charlotte on June 3, 1927 to Hedrick Miller and Carrie Miller Faggart, who preceded him in death, as has sister Mary Ann (Faggart) Boesch. He was a 1945 graduate of Charlotte's Old Central High School and served his country in the US Coast Guard stationed in the Atlantic. Bud was married to his sweetheart Donna Foard Faggart for 51 years before her passing on June 16, 1999. Mr. Faggart's business years involved mechanical contracting, culminating in the formation of his own company. He was a member of several related trade organizations. Bud was baptized and confirmed at St. Mark's Lutheran Church and later became a charter member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church both of Charlotte. After relocating to Mooresville, he faithfully attended at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church since 1991. Bud participated in several mission trips, both domestic and foreign. He volunteered on Habitat for Humanity builds. He loved to travel and went on many trips which gave him fond memories. Bud is survived by a son, Edward Faggart and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Sarah and David all of Lincolnton; sister, Frances Faggart Green of Muskegon, MI; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Faggart and the family were blessed by the love and support of hospice. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
