James Wesley Alexander MOORESVILLE - James Wesley Alexander, 97, of Mooresville, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the Brian Center in Mooresville. He was born on September 9, 1916 in Mooresville, to the late John Samuel and Ola Bell Harris Alexander. Mr. Alexander was a WWII veteran serving in the US Army. He was a member of Triplett United Methodist Church in Mooresville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Moore Alexander; son, James Alfred Alexander; granddaughter, Donna Irene Hubbard; sisters, Mildred Lowrance, Una Lewis; and brothers, Samuel, Bruce, and Tom Alexander. He is survived by his daughter, Irene Hubbard of Charlotte; sister, Rachel Bradshaw of Mooresville; grandsons, James Alexander and wife, Marsha of Mocksville, John Hubbard of Chester, SC; great granddaughter, Katy Alexander; and great-great grandsons, Hunter Dixon and Blake Dixon. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 28 at Triplett United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. William Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30-12:30 PM at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Triplett United Methodist Church Building Fund, 838 Mazeppa Road, Mooresville, NC 28115. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the Alexander family.
