Words... There are no combinations of words that can be put together that can express my feelings about this young man's untimely passing. He served God and Country, and paid the ultimate sacrifice. There are broken hearts and tear filled eyes through out the military every time we hear of one of our brothers or sisters laying down their life in a war that has been drawn out longer then it should. When a Soldier, Marine, Sailor, or Airman is killed in the line of duty it should remind us that somewhere a father and mother lost a child, a child is without a parent, and a brother or sister is without their sibling. Through sacrifices like this young man's, we are able to say the United States of America is the land of the free and home of the brave. I now dry my eyes, hold my head up, stick my chest out, and smile. I smile because i know that this young man has removed his boots, secured his weapon, and is now smiling down from heaven with the knowledge that his family has a bright future because of the work he has done. To the McClamrock family, i'm truly sorry for the loss of your son/brother. PFC McClamrock, you can rest now, You have done your duty with honor, and its an honor to wear the same uniform as you, you are and forever will be my brother.

I too want to echo the words of condolences for the price your son has paid for the freedom we enjoy in this country. I also want you to know that in my eyes, your son is a hero and will always be someone for others to look up to. I retired from the Air Force after 25 years and now have a son who has been in the Air Force for 6 years and has been to Iraq on a couple of deploments. I'm proud to have given those years to my country -- and I know (in my heart) that your son was and is still proud to have served his country and his God so faithfully. My the Lord always comfort you with the good memories of your James!

My son is in Iraq also. He is in the same company stationed in HI. I am so sorry and saddened by this news. He was not able to communicate for several days after this because they went dark. I was worried not knowing why we could not talk by internet. When I found out I was so upset for I knew another family were being told the news. Our son enlisted at only 18 having the same passion as your son. I am so grateful that we have young men and women who share this passion. I am praying for your family. My husband is also a pastor. There is no way we could make it through this world without the Lord.

Thanks you for protecting your country and even though we went to different school it sad to know that a young man as dear as James had to leave before his time--But God gathers his flowers in seasons so that the storm of life won't destory them--His steps were ordered from birth and his course if finished --he taking his rest from this world to be with his Father in Heaven--Even if you can not see him he will always be in your heart--My deepest sympathy to the family that he left behind may God strengthen you and friends and family encourage you in your time of grief--

O for day to walk again slow through a forest deep O for the time to talk again before I go to sleep O for the warmth of summer sun the chill of winters eve and O for the chance to sing my song once more before I leave O for the secent of autumn air brisk clean and cold O for the chance to travel where the seas are blue and bold O for the prayer I never prayed O for the kiss I never kissed and O for the chance to sing my song once more while yet I'm missed cry of bird and wail of wind word unspoken sin unsinned a night to dance a hill to climb the chance to sing while there is time O for the taste of meat and ale to linger on my tongue O for the sight of hill and dale and faces that are young O for the hand of one I love the time to bloom and grow and O for the chance to sing my song once more before I go.
May the peace of God be with all of you now and forever.

I am a old Vietnam veteran and served there when I was 22 years old same as James. I can relate to your grief as I lost many friends in that war. Your son, brother and husband is a hero who was not afraid to stand and say yes I love and support my country and the love ones I have here. His battle is over now and he has reported for duty at the gates of heaven. We pray for you and all the members of the family and we salute James as a true American hero.

My prayers are with you and your beautiful family during this time of transition. As an American my heart is saddened but I rejoice in knowing that this BRAVE SOLDIER is with OUR LORD! I have included a link to the song 'WELCOME HOME' by Michael Wayne Smith. The words are very powerful and it too tells the story of a Soldier who has fought a worthy fight. You may have to cut & paste the link, but I do feel it's a song that you can relate to during this time of deep sorrow.

To the McClamrock Family:
My heart and prayers have gone up for your family ever since my brother (Kenny Brandon) called and ask me to pray for you. I have been bless and spared in that I have not had to face such a tragedy with my own children and I can only begin to imagine the pain and emotions that have flooded your family since learning of your son's passing.
I hope that your joy can come from knowing that there is a celebration going on in heaven even as you read this because another one of God's blessed children has come home, especially after doing God's Work here on earth.
May God give you His Perfect Peace and comfort you until you can some day be reunited in Heaven.
