Josh Schulman, 25, passed away on August 21, 2017. Josh, as he liked to be called was a 2010 graduate of Charlotte Latin School, where he played football, basketball and baseball. He furthered his studies at The University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. Josh was inducted into ZBT Fraternity at Alabama where he enjoyed greek life.

Josh was a caring, loving, generous soul who never met a stranger. He enjoyed the company of many life-long friends, including furry friends. Josh loved all animals, particularly dogs and they loved him.

Some of Josh's favorite pastimes were with his parents watching The Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints and Alabama Crimson Tide football games. He looked forward to Fantasy Football with his buddies each season.

Josh is survived by his loving mother Andrea M. Domingue and his father Larry D. Schulman. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Marie H. Saucier and his maternal grandfather, Dr. Gerald J. Domingue. Josh is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Dr. Ira H. Schulman. Josh's paternal grandmother, Dorothy K. Schulman passed away on August 22, 2017. Josh is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Temple Israel, 4901 Providence Road, Charlotte with Rabbi Murray Ezring officiating. Interment will follow at Hebrew Cemetery.

While I grieve the loss of Josh, I also treasure the times that my life intersected with his. How much fun it was to have a fellow sports fan who loved to play and watch the games. I have a vision of him playing point guard, bringing the ball down the court to set up the offense. I can see him standing in the batter's box ready to face the pitcher. It is so easy to remember the boys playing schoolyard touch football with Josh diving forward with the ball. His relentless enthusiasm for Fantasy Football will always make me smile. Since he was in second grade, Josh colored my world. He will persist in my heart as I fondly remember the wonder years of my son and his friend, Josh. What could be more precious than life? I was privileged to share many years of mine with this child full of grace.
