Pamela Reading Obituary

Pamela Snyder Reading CHARLOTTE - Pamela Snyder Reading (Pam) of Charlotte, NC died on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the age of 60. Pam never met a stranger. If you knew her, she knew your life story. Pam loved yoga and Jesus, and she shared both freely. She worked in hope, caring for people and animals in crisis. She founded New Beginnings to help people overcome addiction; served as a Stephen Minister; and felt called to end homelessness through Room In the Inn, Friendship Gardens, and Bridges Out of Poverty. Pam rescued dogs, jammed at MerleFest, and never passed up pimento cheese. She was unapologetically authentic. She was Pammy. She is survived by her husband Andy Reading, her daughter Ashley and son-in-law Brian Tice, her mother Betty Snyder, her sisters Patti Snyder and Sandy Grodsky, sister-in-law Melanie Pirollo, cherished nieces and nephews, and her beloved- if barky- dogs Bernie and Gretel. She was predeceased by her father Captain Virgil Snyder, USN. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 5, 1:30 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, 15000 Charlotte Hwy. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Humane Society of Charlotte; Urban Ministry Center; or Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mlfordsons.com. M. L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, Lake Wylie, SC is serving her family.

Pam will be missed by many. She was such a dear kind caring person who never met a stranger. She made it her mission to help those who suffered. The staff at McLeod Center and the clients she served will miss her. Prayers to the family.

Our hearts are heavy at Yoga for Life. Pam was lovingly supportive of so many different aspects of our community of wellness. She loved yoga and yoga loved her back. She will be missed. Our condolences go out to all members of Pam's family.

My sympathy and prayers to you and yours. Although I did not know Pam personally, she sounded like a fabulous person. I only know her through her sister Patti and her nephews, Sam and Hunter. Blessings to your family ~
