Ruth Efird Obituary
Mrs. Efird, 82, of Charlotte, NC passed away on July 15, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Providence Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. The service will be held at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at Red Cross Baptist Church Cemetery. Dr. Al Cadenhead and Rev. Melvin Curlee will officiate.
Mrs. Efird was born in Stanly County on January 6, 1929 to the late Burley and Chloe Smith.
Mrs. Efird is survived by her husband, Therell Eugene 'Gene' Efird of the home; son, Tracy Efird of Charlotte; daughter, Gina Efird Ayscue and Husband Frankie of Charlotte; grandchildren, Vance and Chloe Ayscue; and sister, Elizabeth Burris of Stanfield.
Memorials may be made to Red Cross Baptist Church Building Fund, 112 West Red Cross Road, Oakboro, NC, 28129.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Efird family.

Wilson and I remember you in our every thought, every hope and every prayer. Ruth's life has enriched us beyond measure~~she will be greatly missed
