It is Janurary 2024 and I was walking through the Calvary Burial Grounds when I came across Dr. Bridges' memorial. It stood out to me the most of them all for some reason. It says, "his love is better than life" and immediately I began to sing that song! Such a sweet reminder of God's life and goodness. praise God for the roses too which show us the beauty and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. A death is really a brand new life <3

Donna: I was reading information about Appalachian Alumni and learned of your husband's death. Although we have not talked in over 30 years, my heart goes out to you. May God continue to comfort you.

Dear Donna,

Please accept my deepest condolences and prayers for you, your daughter and the Bridges family. I only learned of Dr. Bridges' death this weekend at the SCAO meeting in Charleston. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours during this time of great loss. I won't forget our interactions together when I worked for him and when I later purchased the Florence practice from the two of you.

With deepest sympathy,
Dr. Kerry White Brown

Dear Dr. Donna, It was with sincere sorrow that we learned of Dr. Tim's passing. So many bright images of you both we recall in your works, charities, and most especially the close and endearing familial cohesiveness with your loving daughter Chrysalis.
From our first meetings to our later sadly infrequent visits we were always inspired and uplifted when we were allowed to share in the enthusiasm that was always so prevalent.
Our prayers are with you.

Dr. Bridges was, and still is, my hero. He's inspired me so much throughout the years. Dr. Tim is the reason why I want to be an orthodontist. I feel like I knew him as more than a doctor, he was a friend. He made every trip to the orthodontist pleasant and fun. I trusted him so much and he'll always be the best orthodontist in my eyes. I've grown so close to Dr. Tim and the rest of the office staff and I feel like they're family to me. I've known the Bridges family for as long as I can remember. I danced at Miss Libby's with Chrysalis and really enjoyed having her around. I remember dancing with her like it was yesterday! Mrs. Donna has always been an amazing friend to me. She's always so pleasant and really makes me feel comfortable. Dr. Tim was just really important to me and I don't know how or why God would take such an amazing man away from the world. Everything happens for a reason though. I wish I could have told Dr. Tim how much he truly means to me. I'll continue to keep the Bridges family in my prayers!

MUCH MUCH MUCH love,
Jessica Cook

Tim was one of the finest men that my family and I have been blessed to know. He had a kind, gentle spirit and always put others before himself. He focused on excellence in all areas of his life, and that excellence will live on in the legacy of goodness that he has passed on to his family, particularly to his precious Chrysalis. He loved Donna and Chrysalis with his whole heart--and he had a tremendous heart. The world is a better place because Tim was in it.
