Richard Pace Arndt CHARLOTTE - "Once A Marine, Always A Marine." Mr. Arndt, age 65, of Charlotte, NC, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. He was born September 7, 1947, in Dodgeville, Wisconsin, the son of the late Richard and Margaret (Pace) Arndt. Mr. Arndt graduated from Garinger High School in 1966 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was awarded the distinguished Purple Heart for his service during the Vietnam War. Mr. Arndt was employed by UPS and a member of the Local 677 and Jaycees. He enjoyed Western movies, NASCAR racing, the New York Yankees, and theWashington Redskins. Surviving are his daughter, Kimberly Christina Arndt; sisters, Patricia Anderson, Terrie De La Garza and Denise Smith; and brother, Kirk Arndt. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 E. 7th Street, Charlotte, NC 28212.
