Stanford Niemer "Bud" CHARLOTTE - Stanford "Bud" Niemer, of Charlotte, passed away peacefully at his home April 15, 2014. He was 81. He was predeceased by his parents Arthur William Niemer and Sadie Baker Niemer. Bud is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Keyes Niemer; his son, Keyes Arthur Niemer (Susan) of Charlotte; and his daughter, Laura Niemer Shack (Steve) of Raleigh; and five grandchildren, Spain Arthur Niemer, Nicole Adele Niemer, Jack Alexander Niemer, Samuel Vincent Shack and William Niemer Shack. He is survived by his brother Arthur William Niemer, Jr. (Norma) of North Augusta, S.C., many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Central High School and North Carolina State University with a B.S. in business. He served in the Army and received an Honorable Discharge with a National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal. He was a career salesman and owned a small convenience store for several years. Bud was a loving husband and supportive father. He enjoyed spending time at the beach with his children and grandchildren. Prayer service and visitation will be Thursday, April 24 from 7 9 p.m. at McEwen Pineville Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday, April 25 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church followed by the burial at Forest Lawn West on Freedom Drive.
