John J. Sziber Nov. 26, 1920 - Apr. 26, 2014 ROCK HILL - John Sziber, 93, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014, in Rock Hill. Born in Sewaren, N.J., he resided in Edison, N.J., Florida and recently Rock Hill. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret, and his siblings, F. Vince Sziber, Helen Lorentzen and Madeline Poulsen. Surviving are his wife, Eda; his two daughters, Nancy and Richard Greene of Charlotte, N.C., and Linda and Gary Schuller of East Brunswick, NJ; and Jim and Kathy Pellicane of Millburn, N.J. and Joyce and Jim O'Neill of St. Petersburg, Fla. He will be missed deeply by his nine cherished grand-children; and three great-grandchildren. John was a proud veteran serving the Army Air Corps in WWII and was stationed in the South Pacific with the 64th Troop Carrier Squadron. John worked at Shell Oil Company for over 40 years beginning in Sewaren, N.J. and retired as Plant Manager in Tampa, Fla in 1985. John was an avid reader, enjoyed travel and gardening, was a Master Gardener in Tampa and Spring Hill, Fla. and most importantly, was a kind, fun, generous man and a good friend to all. Services for John will be 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 14 Chesterfield Arneytown Road, Wrights-town, N.J. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in John's memory to the Honor Flight, Inc., 300 E. Auburn Ave., Springfield, OH 45505. Condolences may be made at
