Samantha Ann Windham "Sami" INDIAN TRAIL - Samantha Ann "Sami" Windham, 17, of Indian Trail, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014, as a result of a motor vehicle accident. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 5, 2014, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at First Baptist Church Indian Trail. A service to celebrate Sami's Life will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014, at 6:00pm at the First Baptist Church Indian Trail with the Rev. Anthony Kendall officiating. Sami was born June 22, 1996 in Charlotte, a daughter of Danny and Cindy Windham. Sami always entered a room with a great big smile and announcing herself with "what ch'all doin!" She could always lighten up any room with her bubbly personality. She was loved by so many friends and especially her family. She always spoke so highly of her parents and anybody who knows them, knows they were not just her parents, they were her best friends! She also had a very special love for her baby sister Summer, even though she was older than her, she still loved her so much and would do anything in the world for her, after, of course, she got done aggravating her! Sami attended Porter Ridge High School where she would have graduated June 12, 2014. She enjoyed softball, volleyball, four-wheeling, going to the beach and swimming. She liked hanging out with her boyfriend and love of her life, Hunter and all her friends and family. She was employed for two years at Carolina Made in Indian Trail. She was preceded in death by great-grandmothers, Dot Jackson and Mildred Cowick, and great-grand-parents, Roy and Ouida Carr. Sami is survived by her loving parents, Danny and Cindy Windham, her loving sister Summer Windham. Her maternal grandparents Bobby, Sr. (Paw Paw) and Judy (Nana) Cowick, paternal grandparents Joel and Angela Windham, and grandmother Wanna (Maw Maw) Windham, great-grand-parents, Joel and Ann Windham. Aunts and uncles; Steven and Candace Windham, Bobby and Carrie Cowick, Wes and Jennifer Cowick; and her boyfriend, Hunter Killman.
