Jerry Lee Patterson CHARLOTTE - Jerry, 54, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014, at his home in Charlotte. Born April 13, 1960, he was a son of Harold Clyde Patterson and the late Betty Jean "Patsy" Pearson Patterson. During his youth he was involved with Scouting, the Soap Box Derby, and Little League Baseball. Jerry graduated from Olympic High School in 1977 and furthered his education at Hamilton Business College where he received an associate degree in accounting. He was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church where he had served as an Elder and Church Treasurer as well as filling the pulpit on several occasions. Jerry enjoyed life in general and especially enjoyed being with people. He is remembered for his keen sense of humor and for his love of crafts, cooking and creating new dishes. In addition to his father, Jerry is survived by his brother, Wendell Patterson; and two sisters, Melody Hinson (Ron) and Angela Mack (Dan); two nephews, Christopher Hinson and Michael Hinson; and his niece, Miranda Mack. A service to celebrate Jerry's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5th at Christ Presbyterian Church. His family will receive friends at the church following the service.
